This is our 2nd attempt at obtaining a HL through std, and we have encountered the same probs as previously app. 1st app was for 1.8 mil, after waiting forever for an answer and following up all the time, we told upon. I even lost track of given excuses. 2nd attempt for 1.5 mil which was submitted in April was again met with immense disgust and ignorance. After stating this was urgent and following up almost every day, we were first told no lease agreement for current house was submitted and therefore it was declined, after informing them we did submit, the 2nd excuse is now something about the total bond (including current house on our name) cannot exceed 30% of your take home. QUESTIONS! Why this was never stated initially? Why do they put you thru a long process only to fail you? Why can't you'll pick an excuse and stick to it? If we have a lease agreement in place for the current HL, why is that still calculated - we are receiving rent and there is proof of it My husband is a std bank employee, and I thought that this would be a easy process with him being staff, but you couldn't be bothered about asisting us in getting a HL.
