I went to the Standard Bank branch at The Glen to cancel my cheque account last year already and the cheque account even disappeared from my internet banking. I get an SMS this morning saying my Standard bank lending account has been handed over to Legal Nexus Collections! When I phone to find out what the problem is, I get transferred to about 3 different consultants because no one knows what is even going on or which department deals with this, then finally i get put through to a consultant who tells me I owe R1000 on this account that has been closed since last year, but according to her it hasn't been closed. This is absolute rubbish and i will not pay for an account I closed last year, I want this rectified immediately!!! Do your jobs correctly the first time! don't inconvenience your customers lives with your incompetence.
