We had a flood after a freak downpour on the 18th December 2013. This flood knocked down 2 large sections of a 40 metre boundary wall as well as ruined my pool and various other things. After logging the claim I was informed someone would contact me between 24 to 48 hours which did not happen. After at least 6 times of being on hold for claims dept. for 45 minutes after which the line went dead I decided to try get a more senior persons details. I was given by the call centre manager 2 names, Elsabe Jacobs 011 501 8513 (Manager of claims) and Fly 011 501 8517 (Elsabe's Manager). I have tried to call these numbers about 50 times each over the past month and not once have they been answered. I have sent Elsabe "the manager" at least 5 emails, stated that having my walls down is a security risk and still no response. Eventually, 5 weeks after the flood I get a call from the assessors but only for the electrical. I have now been trying everyday this week to try find out what is happening with the building portion of my claim yet still NO REPONSE. I managed to leave 2 messages with their "message department this week and guess what... no response. week 6 now, Not even 1 call from ABSA.
