I have phoned Old Mutual on the 16th of January 2014 regarding a hospital benefit under a Flexi Care policy that was not paid last year. I was told, after the call centre agent discussed it with an assessor, that I must forward a request to them for re-assessing the claim with my reason why I think it must be paid. (being they paid a similar claim under the same policy in 2003).
I've e-mailed the request on the same day, 16 January and I followed up per e-mail on the 20th of January. Every time a system generated e-mail was returned with the promise to get back to me "within 48 hours or sooner"
Today is the 23rd of January, 14h30 and I have not had any feedback from Old Mutual.
