Cancellation of policies

I have sent an e mail to the old mutual broker on the 22 July 2013 to cancel my policy how ever that did not happen. I have sent all the required documents to old mutual on the 4 August 2013 and I was told that there is section 7 document that needs to be signed, I did sent that document on the 8 August 2013. I have called Old mutual on two occasions only to be told that they have processed my claim on the 14 August 2013 and my claim will be paid between 2-8 days. My question is how many days does Old mutual takes to process the cancellation. I cannot wait any longer, I want my money
