Standard Bank
Taking too long to address complaint

On the 24th of December 2013 I tried to withdraw R4000 from a STANDARD Bank ATM in Swaziland and was only able to access R1000. I immediately went to a NEDBANK ATM and withdrew R2000. A few days later I noticed that R4000 had been debited from my account (from the NEDBANK ATM?).
On coming back to South Africa I went to the Killarney Mall Standard bank on 6 January 2014 and made a complaint. I was told that it would take12-15 working days. I went back to the bank on the 14th January 2014 to tell them that the delay was too long and I needed the money urgently. Information I got on this day is that the issue will tale 40-45 working days since it happened outside of South Africa.
This is totally unacceptable and have since made an arangement with the bank that I willl use my overdraft facility (which I have never used before) and that they must reverse all the interest after the issue has been resolved.
I am really not comfortable with using the ovedraft facility, I just was the bank to address this issue promptly.
