I called Outsurance late Nov for building cover we need for our home loan. As they couldn't add the property more than 45 days in advance the salesman said they would add it in the meantime and early Jan he would move the date forward so that nothing came off my acc, etc and that property only added from 24th when we take occupation (house not even registered in our name yet). We also agreed debit order date to be 1st of every month. On the 10th Jan, they deducted the full amount commission or whatever nice term they use for it. When I ph'd to sort this out they said they would refund me pro-rata and not the comm amount. I told them I want a full refund and to cancel the policy. The lady told me that they had to listen to the ph call to make sure what I was saying was the truth before refunding me. She promised to ph me back within 48hrs or even the same day (Mon), needless to say I haven't heard a thing. When I called to follow up this morning I can't get hold of her but someone else who will "pass on the msg" and told me I will only get my pro-rata refund 13 FEB!! Where's the rest? They deduct my acc incorrectly and I MUST WAIT?!!! #notimpressed!!!
