Our bond was settled on 4 June but the settlement amount paid by the attorneys was more than the actual settlement amount. I contacted them after the settlement and they said the refund will be paid to me but when I saw the amount they refunded me it was short with my normal debit order amount which were deducted on 25 May. I called the contact centre after which they informed me the refund of that payment will only be after 40 days because they do not know if I am going to send that debit order back. I told them I have never missed a payment in the 9 years so I want my refund after which they emailed me a "letter of undertaking" on 7 June which confirms I will not return the debit order. I returned the letter the same day and they said I will receive my refund in 3 to 4 days. Today is 25 June and still no refund were received. I phoned again and then they pass the buck by saying they should have not emailed me that letter as they do not want to do these refunds anymore. It is not my problem and I have been honest with them for 9 years and now they treat you like this because it is settled. I want my full refund back plus interest from 25 May.
