Dec 2013, I was informed on the new insurance policy together with a rapid increase of my month premium. I made a call, request my insured value to be reverted to how it was. Tthey agree to drop my premium close the old rate. The arrangement agreed on the phone was "everything stays EXACTLY THE SAME". However when I received the new policy update, I notice the following:
1) Insured value for iPhone only increased 10% (from R5600 to R6160), but Premium increased 50% (from R103 to R156).
2) My "other portable items" DROPPED from R75340 to R73000, but my Monthly Premium INCREASED from R179.59 to R200.21.
3) Atlast, the car I insured was exactly the same, but my Basic Excess went from R3200 to R8520! This is more than 200%!
I am not happy with these finding, and the figures are not reasonable! I then wrote an email request for a review, and I received a respond which obviously the person did not even bother to look at my email, her answer were totally unrelated, and non of my question were answered!
I immediately wrote another email requesting about it, it been a month now and obviously I was ignored till today.
