My wife's vehicle was insured through AA as we received a competitive quote. Over a two year period, the premium increased from R420 to R650 per month despite there being no claims and the book value of the vehicle (2005 Daihatsu Sirion) reducing. When I complained, they immediately dropped my premium to R365 pm, but have failed to respond adequately with regards the two years overcharging and my request for a refund. Due to the no response, I have now got a better quote from a competitor and have cancelled my policy.
I still have another policy with them and it will be interesting to see how much they value my business. No response from them and I will move the second policy as well. It is shocking that they can increase the premiums like this without any notification. Here I thought the AA was a reputable and honest company to deal with!
