Inform of banking details

I opened a FNB cheque account, with all the good talk of the perks of the account I thought that all the ins and outs were explained, ha what a joke, I monthly transfer funds to my fluid account for emergencies etc, now when I need to transfer money from my fluid acc to my cheq or do a payment I get told I am not allowed to de bit this account, on phoning FNB the one branch told me I cant do it there as the branch code is with the malls branch, but the helpful lady tells me to phone them and ask them to change the internet code so that it can be done online, th unhelpful lady at the mall branch tells me know you have to come into the branch, now I must try and get time off work to go do banking WHY WASNT I TOLD ON OPENING THE ACC THAT I NEED TO LINK THE ACCS, SO MUCH FOR HELPFULNESS I AM CHANGING MY ACC AND WILL LET EVERY KNOW THE SERVICE I RECEIVE. WHY GO INTO THE BANK CANT THEY ASK SECURITY QUESTIONS OVER THE PHONE, THE CALLS ARE RECORDED SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM
