Human error that has damaged our credit record

I am very disappointed in Standard Bank, my husband's account was handed over to the lawyers after Standard Bank deleted his debit order. His cheque account was not debited with his monthly instalment and consequently his name was handed over. We made payments and his name is still listed, what annoys me the most is that everytime he called to fix this, notes were captured in their system which clearly show sequence of events and the error that Standard Bank made but they cannot fix it nor remove his name. We cannot apply for a home loan nor can he apply for vehicle finance thanks to Standard Bank's incompetence. Can somebody please help as this error is literally life changing. I honestly fail to understand what your process of handing over an individual is because I have been in a situation where I did not pay my RCP for a couple of consercutive months and my name was never handed over; as we speak my Standard Bank RCP does not even appear at TransUnion and yet my husband was handed over in a matter of 2 months. We are in the process of closing all dealings with Standard Bank as we had trusted this institutions for years but this is trully disgusting to say the least.
