Poor communication regarding credit card

I moved to Korea in May 2013 on a year contract to teach English and applied for a Virgin Money credit card to use abroad in case of emergencies. I use to live with parents before coming and these were some of the documents I had to submit for FICA regulations.

Two days before I left i received my credit card and was told to use it in South Africa (international clearance was also done) since my documents were approved and the card was activated. I then used the card multiple times abroad with the last time being the 10th of September 2013.

However, I tried to use this card on the 1st of January 2014 but I was unable to and after contacting Virgin money SA was told it was put on hold because of inadequate FICA documents.

I then asked the consultant to please firstly tell me how I was able to use this card for 4 months before they have this epiphany and secondly how I was not informed via email (since they know I am in Korea) about this and had to have been embarrassed due to my card not working.

The response from the consultant was a copy of the previous answer regarding FICA documents without answering my questions.

I feel that this unprofessional and extremely poor service
