Auto And General
Claim repudiated without substantial evidence

On 23 January 2010, I had a motor vehicle accident in which my insured Opel Corsa 1400 was written off. My claim was repudiated. The insurer, represented by Carl Olivier and Dave Pike insinuated during an interview that I was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. However, the police report clearly states that no alcohol or drug use is suspected or was tested for. During the interview the representatives further in that they said the police informed them that I was under the influence and that criminal charges are going to be brought against me. The police officials denied ever being contacted by the representatives of Telesure (Auto and General) at any time and no criminal charges were brought against me.
I issued summons against the firm but still to no avail as the insurer is stalling the legal proceedings.
I am paying for a vehicle which is a total write-off since 2010. The false and unfounded insinuations against me has caused me financial loss of the vehicle in the sum of R133 700.00 (the pre-accident value) and legal costs which set me back in the region of R60 500.00 so far.
DO NOT insure your vehicle with ANY TELESURE COMPANY - They are FRAUDS!
