Served with a Garnishee Orde

I got served with Garnishee order after making payment to this financial supplier. Got a mail from our HR department to say I have a Garnishee order. I was hoping somebody would have at least contact me before this was taking to the court. I really do hope somebody else is reading this to give me advice.
