I did a quote for my Clio at outsurance and was emailed the quote that exceeded my payments, so naturally, I expected to get the R400 payment. The supervisor told me he would pass on the details to be authorised and I would get a call from them soon.
I then got a call from outsurance where a lady tried to give me another quote, but when I said I had already done a quote and was waiting for my R400, she said she could not find the quote on the system. I then emailed her the quote that was sent to me and she then proceeded to do another quote entirely as that one could not be found. Yet again, the quote exceeded my payments but then after more discussion, she said I did not qualify for the R400 as I had a life policy with outsurance and did not qualify. Also, another quote for another car was done within the last 6 months and that meant I did not qualify.
Funny how the supervisor who helped with the quote did not mention this, nor did the system pick up the more expensive quote, and only at the end was it made known that I did not qualify.
What a waste going through long calls, talking to 3 different people, just to be told I don't qualify. Shocking service from insurers!!
