On the 02/01/2014 i went to Capitec branch to open a savings account. I brought all the necessary document required to open the account. The consultant that assisted me advised me that i cant open the account because of "negative Listing" against my name and to contact Forensic Department, she was advised that i need to contact an 0860 and get a letter to clear my name.
My issue here is i am only trying to open a savings account not get a loan, why do i need to get a letter to do that. What is the procedure of opening a savings account at Capitec. Please advise.
