I've just attended to the Greenstone branch wishing to open an account. Upon arriving my documents (ID & Proof of Residence) were checked and verified at the door and I was given a number to wait in queue.

After having waited over 40 minutes was I told that my ID, was not accepted due to a blue line.

This is the same ID I'm using at my current bank, Standard Bank as well as various other credit institutions.

My ID was legally issued by the Department of Home Affairs and I find it totally unacceptable to be treated like a and identity.

A very disappointed wannabe customer.
