Lack of proper service

On 28 December 2011 somebody bumped into my car. The individual did not have insurance and Dial D handed the case over to their lawyers. More than a year has passed and my access payment still has not been recovered from this person. My complaint is that at no stage what so ever does it seem that Dial Direct followed up on the matter. After a number of months passed I tried to find out from them where the case stood. After numerous attempts via e-mail and cell phone (which became very costly because I had to hold on for long periods of time and have been transferred from pillar to post at the time) I eventually was told to contact the lawyers directly. After a number of months I phoned the lawyers only to be told by the responsible individual that he has not as yet given any attention to the case. Again a period of time lapsed and I followed up again. Another person then informed me that nothing as yet has been done but that he would start working on it immediately. Never once in the past year did DD seem to have followed up on the case or kept me abreast of what the situation is. Somehow I expected better service.
