Every time I drive to work and listen to the radio or switch on the tv I hear how awesome FNB is... "Best thing since sliced bread, " I thought after months of hearing the same messages over and over and over. Working in the marketing field I can't help but wonder how much of their clients banking fees have gone into the advertising budget.
So finally I gave in and applied for a cheque account on the website on 14 January, thinking my FNB account will be set up and functioning before my next paycheck would be payed into my account. It is now 3 February and the only feedback received from this incredible bank who seems to make promises left, right and centre has been a SMS stating "we are working on your application".
Pathetic... Is all I can say. I'm glad to still be with my original bank, who does not spend my banking fees on empty promises.
