On Friday 25 January I discovered I could not make any EFTs via Standard Bank's Internet banking. A message said "Internet Banking Currently Unavailable Try again later." I have "tried again later" for 9 days now and nothing has changed. I reported it to standard bank Internet banking who "escalated" it to their technical division who have been "investigating". Presumably they are still "investigating". Meanwhile, the message remains. I have phoned and emailed on a daily basis only to be told that their technical division is "investigating". I run a small attorneys practice. My current trust account balance is well over R 1 million. High volumes of deposits and payments flow in and out every month. If this is the kind of indifference I am treated with, imagine the poor normal personal customer!
