False & Empty Promises & Non Payment of Claim

I lodged a storm related claim on the 12th November 2013. Assessments and and everything was done and my solar pool pipes were fixed but experienced challenges with my fibre roof sheets. The contractor that was appointed could not give me an exact date when they were going to fix my roof. Because of the rain i always had water inside the house and decided to get my own contractor to come fix the roof and notified the insurance on the 24 December 2013 to rather pay me directly which they agreed and promised that the claim will be paid within 48hrs. I waited and on the 31st December 2013 i called again to make a follow up and was told that the person i spoke to on the 24th did not obtain authorisation but that it was obtained then on the 31st and the claim was gonna be paid by latest Friday the 3rd Jan 2014 and still today that has not happened. What is frustrating is the false and empty promises i keep getting every time i call. In the meantime i spent my own money fixing the roof since i was promised 48hrs from the 24th Dec. This is not the way i would like my insurance to conduct itself especially when it comes to claiming and this behaviour is not acceptable.
