A simple request to be sent email statements for a BizStart account has taken nine months and 18 emails and I have spoken to at least half a dozen people. The reasons for failure and the promises to sort it out have now worn very thin.
The latest effort was to Jane at the Grove in early December. An email followed a week later by a phone call to check if she got my email and another email in early January 2014. Not a peep from her. Not only has registration taken place twice but now to add insult to injury statement charges are being levied on an account that clearly states free monthly email statements which have never been received.. To reconcile the accounts at the end of the year a statement was requested and Absa had the audacity to charge for it.
If I was of childbearing age I could have fallen pregnant and given birth with less fuss and hassle than this simple matter of getting a email statement has created.
