I've been with Virgin Insurance for 2 years, I was paying a premium of approximately R1500 a month, i have *NEVER* claimed from them, I have paid my premiums on time every month, and I wake up this morning to find they have increased my insurance premiums by about R850 a month. When I phoned, all I got was "Nothing we can do about it". I advised them that I'd be looking for alternative cover they said "Well, yes, with this kind of increase we'll happily cancel the policy for you just let us know"
No room to negotiate, no nothing. No accidents, no claims, no nothing since the day I was with them, and zero explanation as to the insane rates increase, and a blow off that basically said cancel if you want, thats the way it is.
If this is the way virgin treats its customers, I regret EVER signing up for them. And a warning to every person who takes their policies when they say rates increases are done every 2 years... when your 2 years comes up, prepare to get!!!
