My premiums have just increased from R890 to R1090 with Virgin Money Insurance - more that 20% - they took the liberty of increasing my contents of home insurance and value of my house (it has actually decreased according to municipality) without notification or consent. The new premium just gets increased and they sit back and wait until you complain. I end up on the phone with Lwazi Zibi (3rd transfer via call centre) who tells me nothing can be done and that I should be happy it was not increased after 12 months. He blamed the vehicle repair industry and hiking fuel prices for the huge increase. He will happily process my cancellation. They obviously have too many customers.
To all potential new Virgin Money customers - keep your eyes on your payments!
