Good Day,
Please note that when taking my loan, I advised the branch manager that although my salary reflects as being received into my account on the 24th of every month on my bank statement, it only comes through in the evening as my pay date is in fact the 25th. I was re-assured that the bank has a tracking system and that the debit order would not go off unless my salary has been received.
It has now happened on a few occasions that the debit order is coming off before my salary comes into my account, and has just come off again on the 20th of Dec before my salary after which I received a very embarassing call from my bank to advise that I was in the negative. (Thankfully they helped by not reversing - thank you ABSA who care)
I have since pleaded for assistance with amending my debit order to the 25th or 27th of every month as that is when I can confirm I will have received my salary and not have to incur charges for negative balances and possibly ruin my credit record for any returned funds.
All I have received is an apology, but was advised that they are not going to change my debit order date even though I have pleaded to have it changed.
Please help me.
