My car is currently insured under my father's policy and was involved in an accident on the 28-12. After phoning in a claim soon after, the vehicle went for an assessment on the 6-12. Since then, I have been continually been given excuses and am yet to have any repairs been done on the car.
Each time I have called, I have been told that I will be contacted by the end of the day or that the panel beaters will be in contact shortly. Additionally, as the primary driver, I have continually asked that all calls be directed to me personally and not the policy holder but as of yet I am yet to receive a single call from A&G. All updates I have received have required me to call in myself.
After waiting four days for the panel beater's call, I contacted them directly for an update only to be told that they hadn't received anything from A&G, which then required further involvement from my side to try sort it out.
Furthermore, I am paying for a courtesy car in case of an accident and have now been told that I will be required to pay an additional R105 for the car's delivery as well as R1500 as a fuel deposit. The purpose of insurance is to not be surprise with unexpected costs.
