I think Capitec should spend more time on ensuring their systems work and less time on red tape.
I tried to draw R150 now at a STD Bank ATM. The first time it is declined. Second time it works.
I called the call centre to verify if I was charged twice for the transaction.
I spoke to a Ndumiso and then supervisor Tshepo.
They then want to proceed with a full security check and disclaimer.
I disagree with having to answer 20 questions regarding my account and then listening to a lengthy disclaimer releasing Capitec Bank from responsibility etc etc.
It has happened a few times now that my card does not work at all. You cannot draw money, do a debit transaction or nothing else.
Capitec Bank goes totally offline.
The supervisor points out that this lengthy security check is for my benefit.
AND THE LENGTHY DISCLAIMER THEY READ? FOR WHO'S BENEFIT IS THAT?
And all I want to know: did I get charged twice?
Please spend less time on your protocol and more time and ensuring your systems work.
