I have been with FNB since 2001 and never had any issues with them. Me and my family have been struggling financially for a while now, therefore we decided to go for debt review. I was told to close my current account with FNB, and open a new 1. We opened 1 account at a different bank. I asked FNB to close the account 3 times, but NOTHING. Resulting in my account going into debt. I informed the consultants @ FNB that because they didn't do as the client asked, I will not be held responsible for any money in debt. Finally 2 weeks ago, I received and sms from FNB stating that my account has been given to their attorneys. I tried to phone the attorneys, but only got the answer machine informing me that they are closed over weekends. I then send them an e-mail explaining everything to them. On the Monday I received a call from one of the consultants working at the law firm, tellling me that he can't do anything about it, I just have to pay the money I owe or send me a summons and take everything out of my house. Since then I gave all the details to my debt counsellor who LUCKILY said she will sort it out. BUT WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THIS???!!!
