Unbelievably bad service for new clients

I opened a new cheque acct on 14 Jan 2013 through the new applications call centre. I also applied for a credit card at the same time. I eventually got my cheque card but there was a block as the FICA docs hadn't been uploaded. Then was told I couldn't transact on the cheque acct as I needed to deposit cash at the ATM. Nearly a month later credit card appl wasn't processed and the call centre phones are never answered. Closed the cheque acct today and the credit card appl yesterday, today received an SMS stating that credit card couldn't be processed as they hadn't received copy of my ID and proof of income-even though those were the first docs submitted and were acknowledged as being received. Call centre agents are completely unhelpful and seemingly untrained. Definitely isn't as easy to open an acct as the adverts may lead you to believe
