I was one of the people affected by the storm on the 28th November 2013. I submitted claim request on time on the 29th. I was allocated an adviser by the name of Charlene. I was also appointed a contractor MONTEIROSE PROJECTS. I called Outsurance and asked if I could use my own contractor because I was not happy with the person appointed to me. 1 major reason why I was not happy was because the owner of the Project co entered my yard without my permission and removed the salvage tent that we covered the roof with. When i called him, he denied this but later admitted it to my husband. Now, we have an extra expense to replaced that tent as it was hired. I submitted my claim and explained that this was an emergency. It rains on a daily basis and the house is deteriorating. I have been trying to contact the claim adviser and there is no response both via email and telephone. This is really upsetting as we have a 2 year old in the house. I sent the quote through last week and asked to be contacted when received, still nothing til today. This is really upsetting because the reason why we have insurance is not to find ourselves out of a home in times like these.
