During the hail storm last year my awning over my patio was damaged, I initially waited for things to calm down as a lot of other people had more serious damage and I did not want an appointed contractor rushing the job because he had too much work. During December I submitted the claim and was told A&G would appoint a service provider, I would expect as much as I do not have the time to start vetting contractors to ensure I get a competent and honest contractor that would do the job to the correct standard. The first one appointed by A&G could not look at quoting until March, A&G advised me to appoint my own contractor, after much discussion A&G appointed a new contractor, they duly came out did the quote and the quote was approved by A&G, I get a call from the contractor today advising they can only do the repairs at the end of March but in the interim can I pay the excess on the claim into their bank account. Tried to call A&G but was put through to the wrong department and no one could transfer my call, I sit in hope that the message I left is responded too before another week passes by.
