I am in the process of purchasing a new property &would like to understand why it is that the bond originator was advised that we have a default of our names of R340 000 for a homeloan with ABSA? How in creation is this possible? The bond was settled we had no idea that the cost account was still outstanding until we were contacted by attorney's almost 2 years later! I settled of the balance immediately of R3000 after I even received a discount & now this. I have called 011 350 4000, 0861 773 221, 011 501 5072, 011 221 6111, 011 221 7524, 011221 6241, 6240, 6238, 6243, 6246, 6247, 6878. And guess what nobody can help me. All numbers have stated the account is settled in full &there shouldnt be issues, i should call the attorneys Anthony Roberts i did that &guess what they cant help either as the acc is closed on their side & absa must fix it. All the while my life is on hold. I want this sorted out today or i will go to the banking ombudsman. This is unacceptable. I am not just a customer number. I need documentation confirming this was settled and that there was never a default of R340 000, ITC also needs to be updated.
