My daughter has a VIP Fashion Passport card. She bought once on it to qualify for the R100 voucher and settled the account there and then in full. Out of the blue at 20h00 she gets a call to say her account is in arrears! Arrears??? When she got to Forever New yesterday she was told her account was blocked and owed them R250. Where from? She has never received a statement stating the amount is due!!! She paid the amount to avoid any problems. I called them today and was told even if you do not use the card there is a monthly service fee of R52 every month. What a lot of hogwash! A money making racket! No other card I have charges me a fee if I do not use it! Perhaps they do not know what the Consumer Protection Act is all about!
I want them to refund her immediately! This card was cancelled today!
