Unknown Card fees and ABSOLUTE lack of response

In May this month I paid an outstanding amount on my Discovery Credit card and thought that my account was settled and I left it like that, today I got a SMS telling me that I have an outstanding balance of R604.51.

After contacting the call centre I was informed that my monthly credit card fee was R50.00 and that if the money was not available in the account, another R53.00 fee would be collected, that means that I am currently paying R103 a month for my credit card which I am not using?
I was not aware of these charges AT ALL? Should somebody have explained this to me? If that was the case I would not have kept an account open and pay R103 a month for an account which I am not using.

Now since i first emailed FNB and complained about this, i got NO response... only after the 3rd email i sent them i got a reply stating that they cannot help me because my account is with the collectors and they will forward it to them, the collectors again told me i must sort it out with FNB.
Since nobody is helping me my outstanding amount has gone up to R886.48

Are you going to keep ignoring me until i have an insane amount outstanding?
