We had damages to our kitchen, bathroom and gate during the storm on 28 November. The assessor from Digicall came out last week. During the assessment he observed that the bathroom cabinet would have to be replaced completely and all the kickplates in the kitchen needs replacing too. I dont know what he wrote on the report about the gate because he didnt come near it!

I phoned your call centre now to enquire about the status of my claim, only to be told that you will do a cash settlement of R4 685.40. Now, pray tell, how will I replace all the items for this amount. Just buying a similar bathroom cabinet will be in the region of R4500! Also, I didnt request a cash settlement, Johan decided to log it that way. I remember specifically him saying that he used to be a contractor, maybe the prices were that low when he used to be one, it surely isnt that price anymore.

I want someone who knows what they are doing and what the cost of building supplies are to contact me and reassess my damage!
