Wesbank Internal Issues is the Customer's fault

In 2008 I bought a BMW. I have been in an accident with the car on the 4th of December of that same year and the car has been written off accordingly. The insurance short paid about R10 000. I didn't have the whole amount available at that time, but made an arrangement to pay off the balance over a 12 month period.

A Few months later I have received an incentive and settled the car completely.

In 2013 I received a call from lawyers informing me that I have an outstanding amount with Wesbank. I was really concerned and called Wesbank to understand how I still owed them money. Wesbank then realised that the person who dealt with the settlement resigned and never closed the account on their side. They immediately apologised and rectified the matter by sending a letter closing the account. #HAPPY

During December month I applied for motor finance with Wesbank and they informed me that I was black listed from their system for a period of 5 years due to a default few years ago and closed recently and can only apply again in 5 years.. I have escalated this to Thembe and Ayanda, as well as my private banker and no one has changed the situation. Not a happy customer. #SAD
