I applied for a second home loan through my private banker in Richards Bay, she advised a consultant in Durban to carry on with the service. Hence the problem. Initially due to my platinum banking status I was told 100% loan. Eventually only 70% was given due to the value of the house. Found out today no elevator went to the house and a estimated value was used so the wrong percentage loan was located. I was forced to extend my loan of my existing home loan to cover the 30% not granted. If the evaluator went to the house they would have seen it is a duet and not a complex unit as given by the evaluator. Now it is the end of the year and all the attorneys are closing and still no paper work to sign due to the fact that the lady at ABSA has to recapture the whole process. We started the process on the 20th October 2013 already and still no progress. After a long to and fro from attorneys to bank and back only now they realize that the complete process is wrong. I want answers and explanations from ABSA to resolve this issue ASAP. I plan to take my banking elsewhere after this useless efforts from the bank.
