I received a letter from Momentum on the 11 November, telling me that because of the joining with Metropolitan they had taken over my Retirement Annuity. However, The value had been reduced from R383292 in January 2013 to R374994 by October. I sent 3 emails requesting an explanation, each one returned saying that my email had been forwarded to their Actuaries and were awaiting a reply.
in the mean time, I sent an email to Bruce Cameron asking him for advice on whether I could move this RA into another investment and what would he advise?
I was out the country when I received an email on 24 Nov from Ms de Bruin stating: in response to my complaint to Bruce Cameron here was the breakdown of RA. The bottom line of her email:'We are comfortable with the reduction of this RA'. I bet, its not their money and between them and Metropolitan someone has my money! And I did not complain to Bruce! But the response only came once they thought there was a problem with Personal Finance. While away I sent 3 emails to Ms de Bruin without even an acknowledgement of my emails. Now when I call them, Im told I must speak to my financial advisor who sold me the policy. Dont buy Momentum
