My vehicle was written off on 28/12/2012. My insurance company which is Iwyze finalized the claim and settled an amount on 28/01/2013. There was a shortfall and I have shortfall cover so I contacted bollard regarding my claim on the very same day (28/01/2013), I was advised by the agent that my finance house which is Ana's will do the claim and not myself. 4 days passed and Absa did not contact me nor the shortfall claim department. I called Absa & was transferred to the settlement department, spoke to a female agent who's name I did not take down unfortunately ref: 7730601 she advised that I must contact the insurance and make the claim myself. Now I'm being told that absa has to do the claim. Because of her misinformation I am incurring extra costs and the settlement delayed. Absa debited me last month and again today for my car installment even though it was suppose to have been settled because of their misconduct. I am apalled at Absa bank. I've been a loyal customer for many years but they don't give a about their clients. They want to delay settlement so that the can keep debiting me and charging me interest.
