My car was written off on 28/12/2012. On 28/01/2013 my insurance finalised &settled a portion to my vehicle finance house which is absa bank. There was a shortfall so I contacted Hollard Insurance claims department on 0860606086. I spoke to a female agent on 28/01/2013 at approx. 15:50, unfortunately i did not get her name. I advised her that i wanted to make a claim, without hesitation she states that my finace house will contact them & process the claim for the shortfall & that the clinet does not & that I won't have to do anything on my part. Believing that this was true I did not contact them again thinking that my claim will be settled before month end. I called absa this afternoon ref: 7730601 to make sure all was settled but to my astonishment they inform me that they do not claim on my behalf & that I needed to do the claim myself. I am so apalled at the misinformation given to me by the agent who seemed so sure of herself. Now absa informs me that if the shortfall is not settled by tomorrow (friday 01/02/2013), the settlement amount lapses & I will be debited a full months installment!!! I want my claim settled tomorrow or else I will take further
action against Hollard!!
