No response from claim for 2 weeks

My claim has yet to be finalized after two weeks!!! I lodged my complaint via ABSA's online system. Two days later, still no contact from ABSA. I then phoned the claim through and discovered that the online claims are processes by two people manually and nothing had been done. An ABSAcontractor. (Continental Services) came put three days later, and now 4 days later I have not heard. Cannot raise the contractor as their message box is full. When I contacted ABSA Insurance, I was told that there was nothing they could do as 'this time of the year' (Dec) is difficult. Even whenI asked if I could get and submit my own quote, I was told by the call centre agent (Lorraine) that although she was the person responsible for approving the quote, she could not tell me when this would be done. Come on ABSA - does your entire company go on leave in Dec???
