I intended to reduce my debt by paying my credit card, in November 2013 I made two deposits within 2 days, I was called by a Service Consultant who thanked me and enquired whether I intended to close the Credit Card, I responded negatively but enquired how much my balance was. I was informed R790.00 upon paying the amount I noticed a balance of approximately R1300.00 which is now interest charged for the entire period since the amount was paid after the statement date. I called the call centre and explained that I was not properly informed and that I am not prepared to pay the interest as the call centre consultant could have informed me of the consequences, after all I did enquire, It so happend that I was promised that the matter will be addressed by a team leader, who never called, I then called again, and was again promised a manager would call within 48 hours which never happened, and then to add insult to injury when I called for the third time, the agent actually tried to convince me that I was wrong and actually turned the story that it appeard I WAS NEGLIGENT.
