Unauthorized debit orde

The sheer arrogance of Sanlam Sky is astounding! I recieved a forewarning (thanks to ABSA) this morning via SMS that I should fund my account as my policy premium was to be deducted today. I then immediately contacted Sanlam stating to them that I had not authorized the date as per my contract with them; to which the call centre agent promptly told me that an SMS was sent to all clients informing them of the early deduction and that they cannot reverse the payment at this stage. What? In any case I informed him that I will have to waste my precious time and go to an ABSA branch to reverse the payment/debit. Which they will have to process on the correct date, to which he replied "We cannot do that at this stage, sir you will have to pay us the premium cash" what sheer arrogance!! If ABSA had not warned me in time of the pending debit then it would have gone through and with no funds in my account at the moment would have been returned affecting my credit rating, for what???
