Standard Bank
Non Democratic autocratic Policy of STANDARD BANK

I have am not allowed to get a Cheque Card because I am on Debt Review. The Debit Card I was forced to take has a daily Swipe Limit of R2000-00 and STD Bank say they cannot increase my limit. After pleading and lodging a complaint - I am told that this is their policy and I have to accept it. I cannot continue being inconvenienced by drawing cash and being embarrassed at till points because I have exceeded my limit. I am forced to take my banking elsewhere as STD Bank refuse to assist me. I am not important enough to them and they are "Moving Forward" without me. Is this why FNB is taking the customers? Because they want to Help? Very disappointed and this will probably fall on deaf ears because as they already told me, "eish! that is our policy, there's nothing we can do. All our debit cards come with a swipe limit of R2000-00". You can draw R5000 in cash at an ATM, in a back street full of gangsters but don't dare swiping for more than R1999 in a safe shopping environment, oh no! Furthermore I now have lost major award points at Makro where I twice bought for over R2000 and were not allowed to use my card to pay. What about those reward points STD Bank? Is this Democratic?
