I have not been allowed to get a replacement Cheque Card because I am on Debt Review - apparently these cards allow an account holder to be overdrawn. In the time I used my cheque card this never happened - I don't want credit. The Debit Card I was forced to take has a daily Swipe (POS) Limit of R2000-00 and STD Bank say they cannot increase my limit. After pleading and lodging a complaint - I am told that this is their policy and I have to accept it. I earn a net salary in excess of R30000-00 and cannot continue being inconvenienced by drawing cash and being embarrassed at till points because I have exceeded my limit. I will be receiving a Provident Fund Payout in the next month and will settle my Debt - I have been forced to take my banking elsewhere as STD Bank refuse to assist me. I am not important enough to them and they are "Moving Forward" without me. Is this why FNB is taking the customers? Because they want to Help? Very disappointed and this will probably fall on deaf ears because they already told me, "that is our policy, there's nothing we can do. All our debit cards come with a swipe limit of R2000-00". Suprise me STD BANK and resolve my issue or I am leaving in June!
