I moved from Nedbank to SB Elite Banking and I have not been allowed to get a Cheque Card because I am on Debt Review - apparently these cards allow an account holder to be overdrawn... I don't want credit.
The Debit Card I was forced to take has a daily Swipe (POS) Limit of R2000-00 and STD Bank say they cannot increase my limit. I earn a net salary in excess of R25 000-00 and cannot continue being inconvenienced by drawing cash and being embarrassed at till points because I have exceeded my daily swipe limit.
Very disappointed and this will probably fall on deaf ears because they already told me, "that is our policy, there's nothing we can do. All our debit cards come with a swipe limit of R2000-00".
