Pending amount not released

I swiped my card on 02/12/2013 for an amount of R1715 at a retail store.
This amount has been debited off my bank statement however another R1715 sits as a pending amount.

I went into branch for assistance and consultant referred me back to retailer (I had to drive 35km, what if I were in a different province when I realised this?) Who was unable to assist.

Retailer explained that his merchant machine balanced to the receipts for the day and there were no duplicate amounts of R1715. He was willing to assist me should this amount be debited off my account twice by reimbursing me. This amount is still under pending 9 days later.

What now ABSA?

I need an answer.
