ABSA- worst financial institution

I am an existing ABSA client currently working abroad. I do have an existing home loan with them, but it is in my name and a someone else's. I have been trying for the past 8 months to get the bond transferred onto my name. Numerous phone calls from Canada, a number of applications submitted, bank statements sent to SA. I spent hours if not days dealing with them and sitting on the phone trying to get through to their stupid inefficient call centre. After having submitted the application last November I was told that it would take 3 months to cancel the existing bond and that I would have to wait until then. Two and a half months later I sent them and email enquiry - the only reply I got back was to call the international mortgage call centre. After sitting on the phone from Canada for another hour I finally got through, just to be told that the application was declined (few days after the application date). No courtesy email or any form of communication whatsoever. now apparently the 72 hr deadline to appeal is way past and I have to submit a new application. Unbelievable!!! I am taking my business elsewhere. Cant believe the inefficiency. Worst financial institution ever!
