Yesterday I was on the website and doing my daily banking. I signed up for a fixed deposit account in error, as i'm not very clued up with how the site works.
When I called premier banking today to cancel they have told me that I would have to pay R700 to cancel. After speaking to a manager, he advised that he would drop it to R400. Is this a bargain market?
I work hard for my money and I feel like the bank I have trusted for a long time is now forcing me to pay fees which have been created in error. Note, I have a Cheque, credit card and savings account with them at present and they have now fraustrated me to a point that I will cancel. All they said was that I should go to general banking if I want to cancel.
This is not the service I pay for. (Platinum cheque account)
There must be a cooling off period or process to help with mistakes like these. Especially If i call you within 24 hours.
Very disappointed with you, FNB!!!
